we collect a 5% commission when a sale is final. We never charge more than $50 per item sold.

How to sell your High-quality used gear

  • Start by placing a complete ad.

    • The ad needs to include:

      • High-resolution pictures of the gear using multiple angles with close-ups of wear-and-tear, and/or repaired areas.

      • Complete written description of the gear being sold including brand, age, level of use, condition, damage and/or repairs. For foils, please specify the dimensions.

      • Only the Seller’s zip code will appear in the ad so the Buyer can calculate their share of the freight. All other personal information will be held private.

  • The Seller will receive an email when their item has sold. The email notification will include the Buyer’s shipping information, and how much they’ve paid for freight.

    • The Buyer’s total purchase price includes an estimated freight charge to help offset the majority of the Seller’s shipping costs.

    • Once the Seller has been notified of the sale, they will have 3 business days to ship their gear and supply us with a tracking number and shipping costs.

    • If a tracking number is not supplied in 3 business days, the Buyer is refunded their money and the sale is canceled.

    • Notify us when your shipment has been delivered. We will verify delivery using your tracking number.

  • Once the Buyer receives the gear, they have 48 hours to inspect the goods, and finalize the sale.

  • If Wind Swap has not received a refund request within 48 hours of delivery, the sale is considered final and proceeds are released to the Seller minus a 5% commission up to a max of $50 per item.

    • When the sale is final, the Seller will receive a confirmation email and be asked to choose their preferred payment type: PayPal, check, or Venmo.
